Pikety 15
Printed by Business Printers N. P. Kolin of Prague, Czechoslovakia.
This deck uses the Vienna Large Crown pattern, which was also used in the Piatnik Preference Nr.14a that Jase posted in the Austria thread.
Czechoslovakia split in 2 and became the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, on January 1st, 1993. Czechoslovakia itself was originally part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and continued to use patterns from that time though they declared independence and became a sovereign state in 1918.
This is a 32 card deck used to play Piquet and related games. These particular cards were made around 1970, but the pattern itself first appeared in the early 1800s in Austria.
The cards are large at 6.4 cm x 9.9 cm, and the stock has a creamy off-white tint. Unlike the Piatnik deck there is no "Wien" (indicating Vienna) on the Jack of Hearts flag, and no company name on the sash of the King of Spades.
The pip cards include the Aces and 7 - 10. As in many European decks company identification appears on an ace that is not the Spade Ace - in this case it's the Ace of Hearts. The Czech words next to the logo actually just mean "Trademark".
