Re: Spain
These, and the Neoclasica deck, are very handsome cards, but those may be the nastiest and most menacing looking clubs I've ever seen in a Spanish deck I love it.
Interesting blue too. Very nice find Jase.

Re: Spain
Ive always wanted the neoclassica deck, but i always end up being very turned off by that back design, simply because the style is completely different, i would have preferred the design on the box a hundred times more !

Re: Spain
I have to agree with you there V. The Neoclasica back looks rather like wallpaper. I much prefer the Siglo

Kukuxumusu - Fournier (2006)
Kukuxumusu designed in 2006 the first adaptation of the classic Heraclio Fournier deck of playing cards. (see Vitoria No. 12 on first page)
Using Kukusumusu characters instead of the traditional courts, fun variations adorn the entire deck. However it still maintains the spirit of the original design with over 100 years of history.

Mingote No. 2 (Fournier 1968) MYR Ediciones
A follow up to the first deck, in this one, Antonio took a few more liberties in sneaking more of his humor with some doodles in the two and fours of each suit.

Baraja "Aspañola" Calico Electrónico - Fournier 2009
Based off the Flash animated webseries, known for it's offbeat and often crude humor. The courts depict our "hero" Calico Electronico and other characters from the series such as Muzaman the simpleton superhero, a drug addled parody of Doraemon a Nobita, among others.

Re: Spain
Jase, I checked the thread on dating decks but I didn't see the answer so I thought I'd ask here: how did you date the deck to 1982? I see 1962 on the four of clubs - I assume that's the date it was designed - but also the number 826. Would that signify June 1982? If so the single-deck version I just picked up dates to July 1997, I guess (since the number on the four of clubs is 977). Or does it work some other way?Jock1971 wrote:A Double deck by Fournier dated 1982, Titled Europe.
