What is this move?

Unread post by bhong »

Can anyone tell me what move it is that Madison is doing at the beginning of this video: http://vimeo.com/91548987" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?

It looks like a reverse Charlier Cut with the packet from the bottom going up instead of up packet to the bottom. If anyone has a tutorial for it, too, I'd be much obliged.

Well, the closest I can think of would be a thumb cut, but it's not exactly that since he seems to only grip the packet with his pinky and ring fingers. Plenty of tutorials on the thumb cut on youtube.

If I had my Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes at hand, I'm sure I would find it in there. If I remember I'll check it when I get home in a week's time.

It's the Erdnase one handed shift/cut. Described on page 207 of the copy I have.
