Re: Lance T Miller - Official company thread (wap)
Thanks Tom!
I've been under a very strict NDA for 2.5 years, so it's awesome to finally be able to show you guys my new project. These are done and sitting in a warehouse.
They will not be Kick-started, and I will have them available directly through my website or you'll be able to pick them up from your favorite retailer.
No official release date has been announced at this time. I will keep you all updated.
As of right now about 12 other people who attended Magifest have this deck. So you might find some pics of it in the wild.

Thanks Vasta, it means a lot that I still have some loyal fans. I know it may seem like I dropped off the face of earth, but I can assure you, I've been very active in the scene the entire time. I've been a judge for the International Cardistry Open for the first two years, I have helped some of your favorite designers understand the in's and outs of Kickstarter and my skills have been used to clean up at least 4 decks from Murphy's Magic that were made by other designers. I've also consulted with several modern deck designers and helped them pull a cohesive strategy together for their projects. All the while, my biggest cause for being "MIA "for so long is a massive board game project I'm working on with an awesome publisher. The worst part of all of this is that about 99% of them require a Non-Disclosure Agreement so I can't share what I'm working on until it's ready to launch.

Well Azid, legend has it, about 12 folks that were at Magifest have these decks and a little birdy told me they've been leaked on Instagram and Twitter so far... I'll be releasing periodic shots on my instagram as well (lancetmiller) but mine will be much more drawn out as part of the coordinated launch campaign with Murphy's
Thanks Shermjack, I really appreciate that. I remember once upon a time I was called out on here for one of my court cards seeming to similar to a past project. I have totally re-invented my style for this project and do hope that everyone is excited about it as I am.shermjack wrote: Definitely looking to pick up some of these as your designs never seem yo disappoint! Wow, this is an unexpected blast from the past! Glad to see you're still involved with custom playing cards, and I'm especially glad to see you were able to avoid Kickstarter and self-fund so that these decks can be available right away. These should fit in nicely in the (dusty) Lance Miller section of my collection!

Well it may be time to dust them off my friend. Thanks for understanding the period of growth I've gone through, there are some exciting things in progress for 2017.sinjin7 wrote:Wow, this is an unexpected blast from the past! I can finally share all of the things I've been dying to share!
The Fox Targets are OFFICIALLY available for pre-order! http://lancemillerdecks.com
You can get them directly through me or your favorite Murphy's Magic Supplies retailer.
I'm quite excited, I've poured my heart and soul into these and I can't wait to share them with you.

I know that you put a lot of thinking into all aspects of the design of the Fox Targets Playing Cards, Lance.LanceTMiller wrote:The Fox Targets are OFFICIALLY available for pre-order! http://lancemillerdecks.com

In an interview, you revealed that you have built in a puzzle into them: "I won’t be upset if people don’t figure it out right away or ever for that matter. I wanted to create something that would last throughout time; that people might pick up 25 years from now and still be trying to solve. There are clues buried throughout all of the artwork and the entire deck itself is the puzzle. I almost hope no one ever solves it and that it brings many years of adventure to those endeavor to work on it."
In a Q&A about the deck (see this video), Lance did say the following: "Every single card has a story. Every story makes a greater story. I want to challenge you to see if anyone catches it. I gave so many clues, and it's not about me or any individual in particular. But it's about the deck, and the entire deck is a family - I will give you that!"
Have you ever reconsidered this, Lance, and thought about sharing more details about this Lance? Realistically there are so many decks out there nowadays, with new decks appearing on the market all the time, so nobody is going to spend all kinds of time searching for this puzzle. So rather than having this remain an unsolved mystery forever, wouldn't you prefer people to know what your thinking was, so that we can appreciate the ideas behind this deck? I'd love for you to share more about this please!
