United Cardists, You are my family.

Without you, I'd be nothing. You gave me a lot of love when nobody knew who I was and so I am giving you all a very exclusive opportunity here and now.
Here is the absolute, first, official, opportunity to get on "Lance's List". It's my newsletter that I will be running from now on and yes, it is very worthwhile.

Lance's List members become immediate VIP's with private access to news about my projects, a direct line of communication with me, and I'll be adding in some awesome goodies for those that sign up early.

Click This ---------------> Join Lance's List! <--------------- Click This

Join now, and spread the word, because I'll be setting apart all of the early access folks in a special category ;)

I will allow others to join a little down the road, but my family get's the first opportunity.

Nope. We were the only ones who got a jumpstart...

Very glad that you're back, Lance! Your Actuators are among the most prized possessions of my collection, not only because of the amazing art, use of colors and customization, but also for the sentimental value. Just like Ellusionist's Black Tigers started the era of modern custom playing cards, the Actuators started the age of Kickstarter in the collectible playing card community. You were also among the first designers to come here and share your progress and seek feedback directly from us.

Can't wait to see what you have in store for us, and everything you create in the future :)

My most prized possession of contemporary card art is Artist's Edition Actuators signed uncut lucky #7!

Lance & I were sitting beside each other for the last day of the 52+Joker convention sales floor this year, and he & Amber are truly a first class dynamic duo! I can't wait to see what's next from Lance, and we can be sure we will all be itching for the starting gun...

Tom, You are awesome man! You've been there all along and I remember some of the great conversations we've had along the way. I'm simply amazed that I've been able to thrive in this industry, but it wouldn't have been possible without your support and the support of the rest of the community. I will always remember that. It's crazy that you akin my decks to the Black Tiger and starting an era. That blows my mind. I was just trying to make cool cards we'd all enjoy ;)

Mike, I'm honored to be part of your collection. That number 7 is a rare uncut indeed. Thanks for your comment on my wife and I. As you've no doubt discovered, we're the same people online as we are in person. We're genuinely excited to meet those who want to connect and we love hanging out and talking cards and art.

Thanks Eoghann! Hopefully you got signed up alright. I'm not sure if I can tell which one you are, but feel free to PM me to confirm, or just post here and let me know you got your invite. :D

Most Humble Regards,
Lance T. Miller

I got a job! I know it's not what you all want to hear but,

I'm going to be taking a position that I've been preparing for a long time, but didn't really realize I was looking for. Teaching is apparently something that comes naturally to me and I have decided to put my card making / fantasy art business on hold for the foreseeable future. I hope you all will continue to support me as I endeavor down this new chapter in my life.

Congrats Lance!!

Just from the short time talking and hanging out with you in Charleston last year, it's easy to tell that you'll be on of the rare Teachers that inspires and motivates their Students. Very cool!

thanks, Randy

Although I'm sad for selfish reasons, I can't say that I blame you. I enjoy teaching as well (albeit on a more personal level than in a school).

Congratulations, Lance. You deserve it :D

Congratulations - I'm sure everyone would rather you have financial security than be poor and pander to the likes of us haha!

I'm a corporate trainer myself - never thought I'd enjoy it but life surprises you sometimes.

Good luck - it'll make whenever you do decide to design something new that much sweeter...

OK, the jig is up as they say. It's April Fool's and there was a much more epic response to this post on my facebook than anywhere else. I love you guys, I'm not going anywhere. Brace yourselves, new decks are coming soon!

Thanks Tom!

I've been under a very strict NDA for 2.5 years, so it's awesome to finally be able to show you guys my new project. These are done and sitting in a warehouse.
They will not be Kick-started, and I will have them available directly through my website or you'll be able to pick them up from your favorite retailer.
No official release date has been announced at this time. I will keep you all updated.

As of right now about 12 other people who attended Magifest have this deck. So you might find some pics of it in the wild. ;)

Thanks Vasta, it means a lot that I still have some loyal fans. I know it may seem like I dropped off the face of earth, but I can assure you, I've been very active in the scene the entire time. I've been a judge for the International Cardistry Open for the first two years, I have helped some of your favorite designers understand the in's and outs of Kickstarter and my skills have been used to clean up at least 4 decks from Murphy's Magic that were made by other designers. I've also consulted with several modern deck designers and helped them pull a cohesive strategy together for their projects. All the while, my biggest cause for being "MIA "for so long is a massive board game project I'm working on with an awesome publisher. The worst part of all of this is that about 99% of them require a Non-Disclosure Agreement so I can't share what I'm working on until it's ready to launch.
Azid wrote:Nice Box, can't wait to see some of the cards :D

Well Azid, legend has it, about 12 folks that were at Magifest have these decks and a little birdy told me they've been leaked on Instagram and Twitter so far... I'll be releasing periodic shots on my instagram as well (lancetmiller) but mine will be much more drawn out as part of the coordinated launch campaign with Murphy's ;)

Thanks Shermjack, I really appreciate that. I remember once upon a time I was called out on here for one of my court cards seeming to similar to a past project. I have totally re-invented my style for this project and do hope that everyone is excited about it as I am.

Wow, this is an unexpected blast from the past! Glad to see you're still involved with custom playing cards, and I'm especially glad to see you were able to avoid Kickstarter and self-fund so that these decks can be available right away. These should fit in nicely in the (dusty) Lance Miller section of my collection! ;)
