A message from nECrO

Unread post by nECr0MaNCeD »

Well folks, as is often the case in life, misfortunes tend to come in waves. I find myself between the proverbial rock and a hard place. I've had a few significant financial setbacks, not least of which was my car heading off to the junk yard.

After much thought and deliberation I have had to make the painful decision to step away from collecting and sell off most of my collection to raise some much needed cash. I thought at first I would "retire" but I am old enough and just barely wise enough to know better than to try to guess the future so for now let's call it a lengthy sabbatical. (As a wise friend suggested I call it)

All my best,
In long distance affection,
To the greatest group of people I know;
John AKA nECrO
If it's too loud.... you're too old!

That's terrible John. Are you stepping away from the community as well?

Sorry to hear that, John. I've all but stopped buying decks too, and need to sell off a bunch of decks over the summer as I've started paying down my student loans without a steady income (yet).

Makes me wish we were a simpler species...

Ahh, no my friend. I'm not that easily gotten rid of. Just ask any of my ex-wives. :ugthink: I won't be on as much to avoid temptation but I could never leave this place and all of the great people here. You've all become an extended family to me.

Thanks for the kind words and the smile your post brought. Being a simpler species would be nice but think of the fun we would miss watching people try to park at shopping malls. :ugthink:

Definitely one of my all time favorite pick me up songs! :ugdance: I remember listening to 93.3 WMMR in Philly growing up and John DeBella always played this song at the end of the morning show...ah, the good ole days...yeah, I am old!

I grew up in South Jersey listening to MMR and Debella. Small world. Yeah, I'm old too!

Sorry to hear bud.

I too have dramatically cut back in my playing card purchases, and have had many talks with Pierre about throwing in the towel...

Anyway, I hope you do stick around. You would be missed.

Thank you kind sir. Is there anything finer than friends? I think not.

I realize I have been a bit remiss. In all of my thanks I have forgotten the designers and artists whose work has expanded my love and knowledge of art. Lorenzo Gaggiotti, Lotrek, Jackson Robinson, RJ Tomlinson, Alex Chin, Giovanni Meroni, Chris Ovdiyenko, Lee McKenzie, Paul Carpenter, Dave Edgerly, Natalia Silva and the countless others, I salute you.

That sucks man, sorry to hear of the challenges and you needing to sell. I hope you can still keep a few of your favorites and come cautiously back to the fold after your tribulations are over. Although, that last comment from you sounds like somebody leaving for good. :(

I did come off rather maudlin didn't I? Sorry for that. Don't worry, I am here to stay my friend.
