I liked the preview, but man they had to go and spoil the whole movie pretty much. I prefer trailers like what they e been releasing for Star Wars. Show lots of incredible footage but we're only two weeks out and there's still no definitive plot line, just guesses. Whereas here, we pretty much know what's going on, Superman & Batman are at odds with each other and in the midst of their throw down Lex Luthor unleashes his crap to take advantage of the situation causing Bruce, Clark & Co to set aside their differences and fight against the common foe.

I agree. They did the same with Terminator Genisys.
I liked it, some didn't, but however you felt about the movie it would have been WAY better not knowing the big twist before you walk in teh cinema!

Someone edited the trailer to be spoiler free. Much better IMO.

Side note: I think Kevin Smith and I are the only two people that thought from the beginning Ben Affleck would do a good version of Batman. I think he'll be the best hero in this flick (though I've always preferred Bats over Sups.)

Well, it's not like Bats and Supes WOULDN'T put aside their differences

But yeah, that looks like D*****Y and that little nugget should've been kept on the D-L.

Also, the more I see of Affleck the more I like him as Bruce, while it's the opposite with Eisenberg. I don't like anything I've seen of his Lex so far.

You heard it here first, there will be some sort of accident involving Lex that causes him to lose those flowing locks he's got. He will be bald by the end of the movie.

New Suicide Squad trailer. Still not sure how I feel about it, especially Harley. No smurfing accent. That's 1/2 her bloody character, her voice! I am liking Jared Leto's Joker more and more though. Think he'll nail it.

Saw Deadpool last night, thought I'd share my thoughts. IMAX was great, not 3D (thank God) and not a sold out crowd but crowded for 2100. The midnight showing line was longer than ours as we left.

Great movie, very funny. Don't think I've laughed that much in a theater since Super Troopers. I am a Deadpool fan, have read his comics for years and it's a good portrayal of the character, though he's not as insane as he's portrayed in print. They do reference comic material a fair bit, one scene in particular when he sees his g/f while fighting was like a panel right from a comic. And there is a character that's shown that will definitely separate the true Deadpool readers from those that think he's just a talkative BAMF in a red suit.

Colossus is awesome as is Negasonic Teenage Warhead (they changed her completely from the comics) and I wanted to see more of them in action. The movie as a whole left me wanting more in fact. As the third act was peaking I thought to myself I don't want this to end. Leave them wanting more and all I guess.

NOT for kids or teens that are even semi protected. There of course is a lot of violence, it wouldn't be Deadpool if there wasn't. If you saw the leaked scene from a year or two ago, that's the scale of violence. It's a comedic violence I guess. On the nudity front, there's a Ryan Reynolds naked fight scene but you don't see anything as its dark, there's one (funny) sex montage scene that also doesn't show much of anything and a trip to a strip club with a full frontal shot of a woman. Nothing that lingers though. A lot of sexual innuendos in the dialog however.

I'd give it a 10 out of a remaining 12 rounds and want to see it again in theaters.

You mean to say you didn't like the Deadpool portrayal in Wolverine?

I'm eagerly awaiting seeing this movie. Might check it out tonight.

Edit: watched it tonight. Definitely worth going to the movie theatre to watch it.

Saw Deadpool today. Yes, on Valentines, with the GF. Yes, she's super awesome. But anyway, loved the movie, though as others have said it left me wanting more. Deadpool 2 can't be made quickly enough. Hopefully he'll get some cameos in other Fox movies.

The wife and I went to see this today as well! We both loved it, and it seemed like the whole theater was enjoying it.

Considering it had a record breaking weekend, I'm sure there will be a sequel!

So Dawn of Justice happened and seems to have polarised opinion (much as Man of Steel did)

Personally I loved it - flawed to be sure - but by no means as bad an many seem to make out. Personally I can't wait for the 3hr cut...

Yeah, I feel the same way. Plot-holes and cheesy one-liners notwithstanding, I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I guess a lot of people had made up their mind before they even saw it, thus focusing mostly on the negative things. If they can't enjoy the first ever clash/team-up of two of the most iconic superheroes ever because of trivialities, I can't help but feel sorry for them.

Awesome!

Nice dig at Batman v Superman there too lol (BTW the ultimate edition IS better than the theatrical).

Also - Luke Cage - what did people think? I liked it but felt it tailed off towards the end with the "big bad" seeming a bit silly really. Still I cant wait for Iron Fist and the Defenders!

Not long till Dr Strange either!

What a time to be alive hehe.

So what's the concensus on Dr. Strange?
I thought Cumberbatch was good, and the special effects were intriguing, but the script was lacking.
The car crash sequence was a great point up of distracted driving.
I don't like that they gave Strange a girlfriend. He was always working in isolation in the comics, though he often met women in other dimensions. It lost a bit of that romantic loner feel.
Dormamu was a disapointment. I really liked his flaming head figure in the comics. What they did with him in the movie reminded me of early computer graphics animation and was somehow underwhelming.

I agree with most of that, Daz.

I didn't mind the girlfriend since it was really only pre-Sorcerer Supreme. And regarding Dormammu, my thinking is that he would only take his flaming head humanoid form if he were to travel to "our" dimension. But I also was somewhat disappointed, I'm just not sure what they could have done differently.

On the whole; good and entertaining movie, could have been done better, and hopefully they will in the future.

Yes, I did enjoy it, Cumberbatch is a good Dr. Strange. I too hope they do better in future.
I missed the colours of Ditko's art, but no movie can be as colourful as a comic.

Pretty sure Dormammu was in that form in his own dimension, where Strange confronted him, but I'm mostly familiar with Ditko's work. His art was so flowing and graceful and surreal. Dormammu may have taken many forms in the later comics? I have the Ditko Dr. Strange omnibus and haven't seen much of what came after he quit, but I'd like to look further.

You're definitely more versed in comics than me, so that was just the musings of a comic-newb on my part

But yes, Cumberbatch was a good casting. Will be very interesting to see how involved he (Strange) will be in other Marvel movies and how much he will influence the cinematic universe on the whole.

One thing that annoyed me, was that they had a relic that was something like the staff (not sure what the actual thing was) of the Living Tribunal. I saw youtube videos of people raving about just the inclusion of the name of that entity, but I thought it unfitting for a possession of such a powerful being to end up in human hands and only get a casual off-handed mention.

Yep, saw that. Quite a teaser!

The only thing I'm concerned about is that they won't do the Planet Hulk storyline justice, it being in a Thor movie and all. We don't know how and why Hulk ended up there, and if they changed that it'll impact a lot of other things (I'll be sad if we don't see some iteration of World War Hulk at some point).
