Thanks, sprouts! I thoroughly enjoyed that 8-)

A bit disappointing that there wasn't more movies on the list, so I guess I have to keep watching those to see if there are any contenders.

As long as it's positive... Tomorrow will be mine, temperature here is +/- 35° (air).

When it's not positive, you cut a hole in the ice and swim in the hole :D But yeah, a sauna that is from +80 - +100 celsius hot is required before and after that.

Um... +100 Celsius might be a little warm, no?

Hell, even +80 will be scalding, at the very least, if I'm not mistaken....

That is actually the proper temperature for a wooden heated sauna. Electric heated ones have more of a bite to them so with them it doesn't have to be so hot.

What's this deal with Finns lately?

I just finished reading a post where the author mentions the below at the end of the post. After reading, I browsed through this thread and again saw references to Finland :)

We, as a species are obsessed with certainty, binary answers to complex questions, and with comparing ourselves and our organizations to others. It's human nature. The answer to "who's the most advanced, who's winning" is an unknowable unknown, unless of course, you've been to Finland. They are the smartest, most curious and humble people so what they're doing is right, just copy them.

Nightless nights on the summer make you thoughtful. All dark days on the winter make you depressed :D

Karelian pasty is a great finnish invention. Karelian pasty with eggbutter (butter mixed with hard boiled eggs) is perhaps the greatest thing Finland has given to the culinary world.

A colleague of mine used to take jobs piloting small aircraft in Northern Canada just to have those long days painting in the studio on her days off. The paintings all seemed to be northern landscapes from the air. Must be great having light that moves and changes much slower.

She always returned to the southern tip of Vancouver Island for her winters though.
