I think butterfingerz means why are supes and the bat fighting each other...?

They've done it plenty of times in the comics. Usually right before or in the middle of a team-up. :?

Two alpha males used to doing everything their own way... Who needs a reason! ;)

BTW, not technically a super hero... but I think Mad Max Fury Road looks like it is going to be EPIC!!!

P.S. that was so lame the way Ultron killed the Hulk... :ugdance:

I think the way it'll be done is that people are looking at Supes like a god - and people react to that in many (ultimately destructive) ways - nihilism at one extreme, and religious extremism at the other. Bats is like "this won't stand - I have to show them you aren't a god at all". but then they get a common enemy blah blah blah.

Mad max does look ace.

Rumor mill is that they're following (loosely) Miller's Dark Knight Returns, where bats is older and comes out of retirement to kick ass. People get upset and all the superheroes are outlawed, with the U.S. asking Sups to aid in reeling them in. Bats then tries to show him the folly of his ways namely by asking if he bleeds or not.

Saw Age of Ultron last night - was not disappointed. Immensely fun, great action, nice use of previously undeveloped characters.

There is a big moment of Deus ex Machina, and one or two of the quips might annoy some, but totally forgiveable in my opinion. Vision and Ultron are fantastic additions to the Marvel universe!

Jared Leto's Joker in Suicide Squad revealed.......I...am...withholding judgement. I learned my lesson after Heath Ledger, but damn.

I'm not a huge fan of the Suicide Squad in general. Wasn't crazy with Harley's makeover. Both costume and personality wise.

TL;DR - I like it

Looks to me they applied the idea behind Joker's Daughter to Leto's Joker in that it looks more like a person obsessed with the Joker than the Joker himself. But in any case, I like it and really think that to compare and contrast the actors that have played the character is meaningless. Its just another interpretation of the character. Just as the characters change between different comic writers, Frank Miller's Joker is different than Alan Moore's Joker so does the vision of the character between different directors. Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson both had an early comic based portrayal of the Joker, Heath Ledger was a more realistic version of the psychopathic clown, someone that may actually exist, and now with Suicide Squad, we're just getting a different version. Can't say if it's better or worse, just another version is all. But personally I think that Leto will knock his performance out of the park, just as I knew Heath Ledger would when I first heard he'd been cast.

I've always liked Suicide Squad, even the new creation of the comic, though for this movie I'm getting more of a fun shoot 'em up action flick of the 80s vibe off of everything I've seen. It's not going to be anything like Nolan's Batman trilogy. Just look at David Ayers' previous movies to see what kind of flick we're going to get here: Fury, U-571, Fast & Furious, Training Day, Sabotage, etc... All decent action flicks that entertained but weren't nearly as dark as Nolan's Batmans.

Suicide Squad will be a good check your brain at the door kinda flick, and I'm looking forward to it. Especially with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, she's by far and wide my favourite female comic character for a wide variety of reasons. And if you're not reading her current New 52 series by Amanda Conner you're missing some good reads.

Adam Beach (unconfirmed as Slipknot)
Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang)
Cara Delevingne (Enchantress)
Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg)
Margo Robbie (Harley Quinn)
Will Smith (Deadshot)
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc)
Jay Hernandez (El Diablo)
Karen Fukuhara (Katana)

Was worried Deadshot wouldn't have his mask. Here it is:

Harley's outfits are getting more and more ridiculous. She's getting very popular (go check any Hot Topic ) but it's the classic Harley. Granted the classic Harley would look weird in real life film with the jester outfit. But from my Comic Con experience, I've seen girls pull a heck of a cosplay.

This new one seems to be a mix of:

Hair (Arkham City)
Torso (Insurgency)
Waist (Suicide Squad)

All just skankier/trashy versions of Harley. Dammit. That's the thing I hated most about her character change on Suicide Squad. They just made her trashier.

I enjoyed the movie, but not as much as the first one. It's still a must see for any Marvel fan!

Yeah but this one had the best hulk fight ever IMO. And it had Quicksilver & Scarlett Witch, two of my favorite b characters. And Elizabeth Olsen... Even with her god awful accent I like her.

What I'm really looking forward to now though, other than Deadpool, is the new Xmen flick. Sansa Stark as Jean Grey, and Jubilee looks like she was ripped right from the comics.

I'm not saying I didn't love it - I did! But I can understand where people hyped it to impossible to achieve levels and came out a little disappointed (because of their impossible expectations)

If I were to criticise anything in the movie it would be the poorly overdubbed quips as black widow was cycling through the city (could have done with out the "beep beep" and "coming through"), and I'd have liked a little more background to what the vision pool was all about.

The next couple of years have lots to look forward to; Ant Man, Cap 3, AoA, BvS, Deadpool. Excited for all of them!

I'll agree with everything there. I do remember rolling my eyes when she said coming through when flying up the stairs and narrowly avoiding running people over, same with the shameless Audi plug with Hawkeye and Blackwidow on a Sunday drive in the middle of a firefight. Still, I would like to see an über extended version of the movie, while it was already 2+ hours, it could easily be a 3 to 3.5 hour movie I'm sure, and still be entertaining. There was a lot that was just glanced over, the vision pool being just one bit, and supposedly the blu-Ray will have an extended version as well as an alternate ending. Hopefully it's a decent extended version and not just a lame 5 minute deal like most are.

I've heard there will be an extended edition too - the original cut was 3.5 hours (though how much of what was cut was finished)

Totally agree there's plenty in there that needed a bit of fleshing out (but when you have 7 lead characters I can see that's pretty tricky!)

Still loved the ride though!
