Hey all,
New to the forums here but been involved in magic and collecting playing cards for over 15 years. Right now collecting everything I can find, but trying to determine my niche for collecting. Hope to learn a lot from everyone on here. Thanks!

Welcome Tom! I find it interesting and impressive that you immediately recognized the need to find a niche. For most it came naturally or out of necessity when they realized they can't keep up or start focusing on displays. Personally I started card collecting in early 2014 and tend to prefer art quality cards that have historical or macabre/creepy (non-gory) design, but oddly also appreciate select odd whimsical designs as well. In particular, I prefer transformation decks or those that are fully custom decks with both custom courts and number cards.
