Hi all, I just joined the forum ...
I've been working for a little while on creating a "hunting deck" inspired by the late medieval luxury hunting decks from the German region. Well it's pretty much ready to go now. Here's a pic of the aces from a prototype print:
What else ... well I might just share a pic of some of my standard-but-nonstandard decks from different countries in Europe.
Introducing shimmering ... hello from Cumbria

Hi Shimmering,
Where did you get these decks? I'll be heading to Europe at the end of the summer and again in early winter.

Re: Introducing shimmering ... hello from Cumbria
Oh hiya, sorry I didn't see your reply earlier. Here's what they are:
The two top left with bigger cards are a French tarot deck. Top middle (jack of spades) is the standard French pattern. The next one (king of hearts) is Swedish (from Öbergs). The next one (two of swords) is Spanish (Fournier).
The bottom left (Jack of diamonds) is a full French-suited deck from Germany (Altenburger). The one with the roman numerals (8 bells) is a William Tell deck that I think I got in Bratislava, Slovakia. Then two Skat decks from Germany, one with German suits and one with French suits. And the last one, bottom right, is from Italy (ace of coins).
These are all ordinary decks that you find in newsagents and so on in these places. Hope you have a good trip!
