New here but not new to cards

Unread post by pint5on »

Hey!

It's Toomas. Been into cards about 10 years now. I'm a magician, card collector and card flourisher.
I also work as a multimedia designer in Tallinn, Estonia. My skills range from graphic design to motion designs and everything in between (3D, tracking, colour grading, creative editing and so on)

This year i have decided to get more into designing cards myself. Here are some of my designs i'm planning to release this and next year. Just so you can see my design language. Anyways, i hope to become quite active in this forum. Been very active on Instagram but i thought if i want to produce/design playing card then i need to get closer to the people who actually collect them. haha :)

Welcome! Glad to see another designer getting into doing decks, more options is always nice. I would hope you move into fully custom courts though, but either way looking forward to seeing more details on what you are working on.

I'm not a huge fan of custom courts myself but it looks like i have to design them for my decks. At least for those i'm planning to release through crowd funding.

For me the biggest reason to collect custom decks are the custom courts, its the culmination of artist's vision of the deck. Its not supposed to be just a back design and a tuck, anyone can do fontaines.

I completely agree. Custom courts have a significant weight on whether I'll back a project or not.

Welcome to the UC. Good luck with your designs.
