Hey Pablo,
I'm glad you like it!
I've been contemplating adding Roman Numerals somewhere on the Numbers Cards, but definitely not in the corners. Roman Numerals as Indices would hinder a Deck's playability greatly!
I have just added them subtly to each of the Numbers Cards. As seen in the attached Eight of Spades, the Roman Numeral location is east of Gaul's name on the Map.
The Aces and Numbers Cards are all finished!
I should be finished up with Cleopatra's Queen of Spades by the end of this weekend.

It just keeps getting better! I love the sublte addition of the roman numerals (even the I in the ace )
Now we just need to see the card backs and a delivery date haha

Ha ha, I didn't see the "I" on the Ace. Roman numerals a nice touch.
I'll be patient for these...drumming fingers waiting.
Last night I finished up the next Court - Cleopatra's Queen of Spades!!

I had an idea by the way Randy. Now that you are doing a Rome deck and you have already done a Russian themed deck. Imperial Russia was actually sometimes called "The Third Rome" after the Byzantium a ka "The Second Rome" fell. At least the Russians fancied themselves as such, taking the eagle as an symbol and whatnot. There actually was some legitamacy in the claim as much of the Byzantium people and culture fled to Russia after their falling.
So a logical step after this would be to do a Byzantium themed deck

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

@Räpylätassu - I haven't really thought of doing a Byzantium themed design. I don't know much about the time period, so I'll look further into it. Maybe in the future! The Imperial design was easily my favorite Deck project to work on, and the Rome design is quickly taking it's place, so a Byzantium design could be fun.
@Sunz - Below is the outline for the remaining 6 Courts. I'm working on Brutus now. For the Caesar and Antony Decks I wanted to concentrate on the time period of late Julius Caesar / early Augustus.
If the project goes well, I want to do a new design in a year or two that would concentrate mostly on the later Emperors - Nero, Caligula, Sulla, Commodus, Marcus Aurelius, Trajan, Constantine, Hadrian, Tiberius, Julia the Elder…
Remaining Courts for the Antony / Caesar Decks:
Jack of Spades - Cicero
Jack of Diamonds - Brutus
Queen of Diamonds - Servilia
Jack of Clubs - Cassius
Jack of Hearts - Marcus Agrippa
Queen of Hearts - Livia Drusilla
Last night I finished up the seventh Court Card - Brutus' Jack of Diamonds!

I also whipped up a little side-by-side to see how well Brutus and Caesars' Cards compliment each other. I think they flow together nicely!
thanks, Randy

I'm heading out for vacation on Friday, so I won't get another Court finished until afterwards.
It will be good to get away from the computer for a good 9 days or so!
As far as roman numerals go, I wanna suggest trying putting them in the opposite corner from the normal numbers (lefty fan would show them), in small red or black font. Hiding them in the map is really cool for those of us who know its there but I think it will be missed by most.
@JuFiN - I definitely want to keep the Roman Numerals subtle within the Map. They'll be like an easter egg to those that notice them. I'll also do a schematic / diagram of the different elements in the Face Card designs, on the KS project page (probably 1 Number Card and 1 Court Card).
Last night I finished up the ninth Court Card - Livia Drusilla!
Livia was the wife of Augustus, and the mother of Tiberius (Rome's second Emperor).
Uhuh, the acceptability of it, when there should be Capital Q questioning of the entire concept (whatever it be) ....
I've a friend in North Queensland who 'goes right orf' when hearing that, and he's onto it, it should be questioned itself, just on principle.
Hehe.

Yep, I forgot to add Livia's thumb!!
I have it on my to do list, along with some other minor changes to Livia and a couple other finished Courts.
I'll get her fixed up before launch, for sure.
Last night I finished the Back Card for the ROME Caesar Deck. I've been working on it for a very long time, and I hope it shows. It's definitely my most unique Back Card yet!
