Deck Borders

Unread post by MeriK »

I'm currently trying to plan a deck, but I need to know how wide/thick standard borders are and how thick thin borders are (if printing with USPCC, EPCC, or LPCC). I know everybody loves thin borders so I want to offer a deck with thin borders.

If you were to email the various printers I'm sure they could send you templates that would give you all the measurements they advise.

But you can usually push the limits of the template - it's not uncommon for the recommended USPCC border to be halved.

You can even go edge to edge (no border) if you have a regular pattern.

You can also grab a pack you like the borders and measure!

You need to get the template from the different companies.

Then, you can jump the boarders. Here's a nice example from Brendan Hong with this Hive 2 deck.

Have to admit that is closest you can get border wise. Any closer and you are looking at a Emmanuel Jose deck. I still don't know if you can play a game of poker with one of his decks. USPCC lets him print these guys out so I guess he knows where no mans land is when it come to the absolute outer border.
