Yeah I need to add the hand to the KOD... I keep forgetting. I did fix The upside down hand on The KOH. I just haven't posted it.

Why is it being Kickstartered? I thought it was the printing company's new and improved staple deck? Shouldn't they be printing it?

Re: Redesigned SWARM deck in the works
They won't do it unless they know it will be successful. Which I can't blame them. If I had a deck that I was selling like hotcakes... I wouldn't just switch for the hell of it. I would want to know that it would be successful. However, I must admit, I'm half tempted to switch the name to something else and do it with USPCC. The courts turned out sweet and I would hate giving them away for nothing. In the end, they own the Swarm brand... so it would be nice to develop my own.

So... A failed campaign wouldn't be too bad? Hehe
Aren't you getting paid for this work? You better get a good discount in your next project with them!

Re: Redesigned SWARM deck in the works
Nope.. I'm not getting paid at all. However, if I can get into major retailers here in the US they'll give me 30% stake of the sales. But that's a huge IF.
In the end, I always wanted to touch up of the standard court cards and this was a good opportunity.
Will the Kickstarter be successful? Probably not. I've been striking out lately so I don't have my hopes up too high. That's why I was half temped to do it with USPCC. At least then I know backers would be more likely to back the project then. I don't want to get into details but lets say if you could sell 10,000 decks you can get them cheap... no matter who prints them. Most Kickstarter campaigns raise enough to print that many... but it defeats the purpose of catering to the collector market.
But with a staple deck I thought I might as well throw caution to the wind and try to fund a large quantity so I can offer a low price. If it fails... it fails. It won't be the first time and it won't be the last.
I'm already starting to move out of the high end collector market and into something that will probably be more successful for me. I'm already doing the second print run of my Bradford County deck. I never seen a deck sell so fast. We sold out in two weeks.
