Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
Thanks Magik. I really appreciate the ideas and pushing to get that done that you personally did. I could have really bumbled that and thinking about it, reading your comments and a couple others, then going back to the drawing board really helped us.MagikFingerz wrote:LOVE IT!malanthrax wrote:Our new Spade

My pleasure
I always enjoy contributing with what I can to a deck design. It makes it all the more enjoyable and personal to back and own the decks.

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
Ok all.
Here is the preview KickStarter. We are missing Spades cards in various places(to be put in tonight or tomorrow) editing needs to be done, and final art has yet to be posted. The general rewards are placed, and a section for managing pledges has been placed as well.
Things I am thinking about changing:
Full size cards for kings and samples. Makes the KickStarter look HUGE.
Feel free to hammer away.
Link: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/117 ... n=ec682a3e" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Some notes:
Pricing has been specced out. If you see something really amiss feel free to post it and I will check it out. I could have copied a price wrong.
Card prices. We have 3 offerings. 2 early birds and the normal price at 8.00. We tried to lower our international prices to the lowest possible cost without impacting any other rewards but if you see something amiss point it out.
We didn't go nuts on rewards. We have a couple unique extras but many are limited because WE are producing them. So instead of 1000's of card boxes we have a couple dozen that will be boosted if we get a large number of pledges at those levels.
If that sounds idiotic, feel free to say so.

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
Yeah, I'd probably thumbnail and link full versions on the cards. It's really good that you're offering the images of the full cards because it really shows off the great detail, so I wouldn't lose them entirely, but they don't need to be in people's faces.
You've honestly got the best rate on shipping to Canada I've seen, so I have to say that's very much appreciate.
Got a typo when discussing the pips: "a razer sharp weapon for the Spades," -- should be 'razor'.
I have to say too that the steel cards are a really neat idea, I'm definitely interested in those, price permitting.

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
How does the 2 different colored back designs fit into the rewards? Can you specify which colors you want in a PM or something?
And is the early bird for single decks only?

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
The early bird is "currently" for 1 deck. There are variations of that reward. Some with unlimited and some with 1. So we went with 1. But you aren't the first to ask. So I am going to go change it to unlimited.
IF...IF we hit the stretch goal for the other back than those who pledged would be able to exchange 1 for 1.

Thanks for pointing out that I wasn't making that clear. I now made a heading for it.MagikFingerz wrote:Oh, it's a stretch goal. Coolio

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
What I think CBJ meant, considering you said tonight in your previous post, is that it would be nice to have a set time to go by. Especially for those of us who are in different time zones, "tonight" isn't very specific.

I will try to find out. It is not entirely up to me. Though I do give the final go ahead. I am waiting on 2 things. I will post back as soon as I know that exact time.MagikFingerz wrote:What I think CBJ meant, considering you said tonight in your previous post, is that it would be nice to have a set time to go by. The tuck box on the project page does not show Bicycle branding but the title says that it is a Bicycle deck. Will it be Bicycle branded?

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
We also added the steel cards. The supplier can have them at a price that means we can have them day one versus as a stretch.
Here is the thing. As a day one the price is a bit more due to the rush. Meaning 4 aces hand and machine made will run 33.00. With no loss of money to me. If I wait, the price drops about 5 bucks.
What do you guys think?
For 33 it would be 4 aces, queens, jacks, or kings. Hand made stainless steel with protection. Cork backing is a tiny bit extra due to having to be placed by hand and repackaged.
OR wait?

No problem sir. It is MY fault for mistaking what you meant. The moment I know I will post the exact time. I am really waiting on hearing some feedback about the metal card reward price and then trying to take that to the creator.CBJ wrote:Yeah, I meant time.. sorry

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
Well I decided to go for it at 33. By doing so he also cleared the creation of 10 actual full steel decks for 250.00. Which may seem like alot but still 56 cards all steel, if you compare them to the 4 card cost its a huge bonus for us!

Re: Apocalyptica Chromatics
yes sir 1 hour.
We are just fact checking and math checking the preview of the page. Feel free to check it out and point anything glaring out.
Man I am excited we got the man to create some full metal decks for us. Most people probably won't be able to swing it...but damn thats incredible news to me.

I've always been fascinated by metal decks myself, so I see where you're coming from.
Too bad they're way out of my price range.

On the phone with him right now...trying to drop them a bit before we go live. I may have a bit of luck we will seeMagikFingerz wrote:I've always been fascinated by metal decks myself, so I see where you're coming from.

EDIT: Good news. Probably not low enough for me or you:) But got him down to 200.00. But I am moving them to a stretch reward so that decks get unlocked. Decks are a big deal and maybe by then I can work them to a lower price overall.
