SAWDUST

Unread post by Emmanuel »

Happy Easter Everyone!

My old thread is gone so I've started a new one.

Sawdust is my third papercut deck, and it has a circus theme.

I just finished cutting the Spades suit, and here's a closer look at the Jack, Queen, and King of Spades.

Hello, I've saw you have launch another deck. So this one is finish.

Thanks

Oswin,

Your post was moved here, which is now in the proper thread. I am not sure why you would post here originally and the 3 minutes later post a question about this thread in a different one.

Thanks!

So, now that the third in your trilogy is complete, what project will be you be starting next? If any?

Haha, I thought I read on this or the old forum when you were responding to a poster who had asked about the color scheme. I thought you had said that this color scheme was going to be used for 3 decks, the circus themed deck being the last. Disregard then! haha

Hi Kleetz, thanks! I'm only 25% done with the deck so far. If released and printed in 2014, the Sawdust tuck will be the same as the Curator tuck (except for the text). I'm big into minimalistic packaging.

Ahh, ok. Yeah, I'll be sticking with a white, black, and red color scheme, but I definitely intend to make more than 3 decks.

May I ask for a circus tent on it? :) It'll be still minimalistic ;)
This deck is your best project, Emmanuel. Good luck.

Thanks Collector! I haven't created the art for the tuck case yet, but I'm definitely open to using tent imagery.

I've started the Hearts suit:

I'm still really new to collecting cards, and have been going through old boards here and just wanted to say this deck is going to be very awesome. I'm not really a big fan of transitional decks (hopefully I got the term right) but after looking at your Curator deck, I had to make an exception. And from the images you've posted for the Sawdust deck, I can't wait for it to be finished so I can buy a few decks. :D

Thank you, Charlie81dbz :) There are a lot of awesome transformation decks out there. Hundreds, if not thousands, have been created, but very few are in distribution right now.

It may be a while... This is his 3rd deck, and he still hasn't released the second one: "clipped wings".

I am anxiously awaiting both releases as well!

Emmanuel, your art just seems to get better and better! i may need to get my first ever uncut sheet for this deck. :)

Wow, I really love the way this deck is coming together. Your art style is so interesting and I love seeing the animations on your site showing how they are done. So much talent! The Curator deck is one of my favorites to show people and I always have to tell them how it was made. Definitely looking forward to Sawdust being available. Just curious though, the Clipped Wings (hopefully I got the name right) is finished but not printed yet? I haven't found it for sale anywhere but really love the art on that one as well.

Keep up the great work!

charlie :)
