Put the hair color back in please. With the white weapons and flower along with elves pale skin there is too much white.

I do like the red + black on large pip so good job there.
Move on, nothing to see here.

shimmering wrote:One thing you might like to test if you want to keep the hair white would be to change the line colour for those areas from black (to like yellow, brown, blue, or something). I don't know whether you will like this effect here but it is one way of adding something to the large areas of white, so could be worth a look.
Thanks for an idea, I will try this!

Love the concept, the artwork is beautiful.. but I have to agree, that you should keep the hair colored. I think slightly richer colors would be nice as well.

I agree with the majority of the people here that the courts look better with color in their hair. ;)

these are looking really great and the color schemes are working really well together, but I'd suggest maybe a little more contrast between the background and the clothing to better define those details - otherwise, it starts to look a bit too monochromatic. Maybe a slightly bolder outline could also do the trick.

Also, maybe it's just me, but the rope of hair jetting out from the side of the Queen of Clubs face is distracting and doesn't fit well with the loose waves of the rest of her hair - just doesn't seem to make sense or look like it's a part of her hair in texture or styling. Just some thoughts to consider.

Sasha, if you are planning to print with USPCC they will ask you to move down most parts of the image from the very top. Crowns are too close to the edge.

I like colors. Have you tried to make the background grey and white? Or even darker than now.

You are right, in case of USPCC I will need to extend the margins to 3 mm, it is 1.9 mm now.
As for colors, I have tried different schemes, but still can't choose one. Personally I like monochromatic schemes much more, but I know that my preferences often do not match other people. These are samples of some options I have tried:

But in this case you can offer two editions. And make this 2nd one completely (almost) black and white, no borders and no backgrounds, and maybe classic pips.

Additional color scheme test, I hope last one. I also had some changes to enlarge margins, so don't pay attention to inaccurate details.

This is tough now. The dark background on Spades/Clubs really makes the Queens pop out. I think the top row is better.

I also really like the darker background.

A+ on changing the QoC braid - looks much more fitting :D

and maybe it's my screen, but are the dresses on the QoS and the QoH in the top row the same shade and tone of blue? The difference is a bit difficult to distinguish, but it could just be on my end...

Everything else looks really great.

I like the top dark for the black suits, but I prefer the purple backgrounds in the bottom row for the red suits. But I would be happy with any of these.

In the top row all dresses are different, green/turquoise for blacks violet/blue for reds. I will adjust all colors after digital test print.

Wow Sasha! The progress on your new deck is looking great :) I really like the darker background on the spades/clubs queens - indigo/purple is my favourite, but the dark grey works as well. The contrast between the background and the lighter (skin) colour really makes these queens stand out! Wondering if you have considered trying a contrasting background for hearts/diamonds (red/brown or other 'warm' colour that you feel would work with the red suits)? I like the characters and it feels like they each have a story to tell :)

I've decided to go with the colors you see below. For now, I think, it's acceptable color scheme and nice additional concept for the deck. I'm working on rest of characters and when it done, I will revise the colors again.
p.s. is it clear, that backgrounds darkness more or less corresponds to the "world" of the character - wizards in the night, dwarfs in the dusk of caves, elves in the fog of forests, people in the light?

I like this set a lot. My elf-loving self would say they belong in the light, not us mucky muck humans, but that is quibbling. I personally love the choice to distinguish all 4 court suits with different background colors.

Sashado, when are you going to launch this deck? Have you given thought to which company you'll use?

hello,
Actually, I haven't much progress on the deck, because of main job overflow. I didn't think about a company yet, as I don't know when I will finish the deck
