I seem to recall my ex having one and using it. But I dunno if it's really like that but it made too loud of a noise.

Thanks that was one of my concerns. Sometimes the noise can be easy to mask with some banter but it can cause problems.

I'm also contemplating if I should get one . It's rather expensive .

I think the thread is rather easily seen and that the wax 'fly around' when being wind in.

i've got two of these. One I use quite frequently (i'm selling the other one). There's alot of effort you need to put into constructing it, takes a lot of time and patience. Mine doesn't make that much noise, and when you're outside performing, it's virtually silent. I like this, I think it's well worth the reactions you get, but others will disagree. From my own experience, and what I've read other people have said, it's all down to how much effort you r willing to put into it to whether it suits your style or whether you like it or not.

I still do not have one but I like the fact you said it needs a bit of patience and work. That usually makes the effect a little more intersting rather than one of the out of the box no effort required. IT is one of my favorite routines. I have the Tarantula and have put many miles on it. The Fearson hookup is just as well but gimmicks can be fun. Could you send me a pm regarding how much you will be selling it for.
