Cardistry and Stud playing cards

Unread post by rpelberg »

Hello, I have been practicing cardistry for about 3 months and I really enjoy it. I watch a lot of cardistry videos and the deck I seem to see the most is the STUD deck of playing cards. Why are these cards so popular with cardists? Is it worth picking up some to play with? Also what type of cards do you like to practice with? thanks in advance.

I guess it's because they're quite thin and bendable, while still having that good USPCC quality finish. I used them quite a bit when I started out, springs were easier with them than a normal Bike deck. Now I tend to prefer stiffer stocks, but it's just personal taste.
